Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A contract opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to work in a mental health/behavior self-contained program. This role focuses on providing individualized academic and behavioral interventions to a caseload of 10–16 students in a specialized classroom setting. Key Qualifications:

• Valid NH Teaching License required
• Experience as a Special Education Teacher, particularly in mental health/behavioral settings, strongly preferred
• Proficiency in creating and implementing IEPs, conducting evaluations, and managing cases
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
• Ability to foster a safe and supportive classroom environment

Role Duties:

• Deliver direct instruction and behavioral interventions tailored to the needs of students with mental health or behavioral challenges
• Develop, update, and manage IEPs, ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements
• Conduct regular student progress evaluations and assessments
• Prepare detailed reports and maintain accurate documentation
• Participate actively in IEP meetings, family conferences, and team planning sessions
• Collaborate with school counselors, support staff, and administration on intervention strategies
• Provide crisis intervention and emotional support as needed during school hours (7:30 AM – 2:20 PM)

This is a contract position, covering approximately 32.5–35 hours per week from September 1, 2026, through June 16, 2027, aligning with regular school hours for a healthy work-life balance.
