Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical - Pediatric

Job Summary:

Seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for night shift coverage in a Medical-Surgical unit serving primarily adult patients, with occasional pediatric cases. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive inpatient care in a rural critical access hospital located in Vermonts scenic Northeast Kingdom.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Coordinate and deliver holistic patient care across medical-surgical services, including outpatient, observation, and swing bed units.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to adult and occasional pediatric patients.
  
  
• 
  Utilize the Nursing Process to assess patient needs, make critical decisions, and ensure best outcomes.
  
  
• 
  Adhere to clinical protocols, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  
  
• 
  Support patients' physiological, spiritual, psychosocial, and developmental needs with compassion and proficiency.
  
  
• 
  Work closely with the Unit Director, Clinical Nurse Lead, and Nursing Supervisor to ensure quality care delivery and effective shift management.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold a Vermont RN license or multi-state RN licensure.
  
  
• 
  Minimum of 3 years of acute care experience, preferably in medical-surgical nursing.
  
  
• 
  Current BLS (American Heart Association) and ACLS certifications required.
  
  
• 
  Prefer candidates with Meditech experience.
  
  
• 
  Must have a strong clinical background in adult and occasional pediatric patient care.
