Temporary Faculty - Kodiak College

Responsibilities Adjunct Instructors teach course(s) for the Fall/Spring/Summer semesters on a semester-by-semester basis. Qualifications Knowledge of accepted instruction methods. Outstanding ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Strong public speaking and customer service skills. Ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, students, and administration within a diverse rural campus community. University, community, or technical college teaching experience preferred. At least two years of experience strongly preferred. Experience teaching traditional campus-based courses and distance education (eLearning) in rural communities strongly preferred. Minimum qualification: Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in a field related to the position, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Applicants must meet faculty guidelines for the appropriate department at the University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA) to teach for Kodiak College, a community campus of UAA. All asynchronous instructors must have in-house (UAA) or Quality Matters training prior to teaching classes. To be eligible, applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction. Applicants who require visa sponsorship at any time are not eligible. Position Details Location: University of Alaska campus in Kodiak. Position type: Part‑time, temporary, adjunct represented. Salary: Adjunct salary schedule as outlined in UNAD CBA.
