You will receive training to perform the daily activities associated with the specialty film production process. The starting pay for this role is $29.24 + shift differential.This is a full time role that includes competitive pay, annual bonus potential, generous paid time off, 401K with company match, retirement contribution, tuition reimbursement, parental leave and medical, dental and vision coverage (no waiting period).You must follow standard operating procedures and ensure that health, safety and compliance is your highest priority. This role allows you to learn more about our plant operations and can open the door to career opportunities with increased responsibilities.Major Responsibilities:Produce quality materials for customersOperate, maintain and shutdown production equipment (blender, resin dryer, 4.5 extruder, take-off tower, die, slitter, trim winder and film winder)Start up and shut down equipment including pre-start up safety interlock reviewKeep machine fed with resin mixture by accurately calculating formulation, adding, blending and drying the batch resin componentsObserve and adjust process parameters to ensure proper product specificationsRecord process and product information, test samples, complete order paperworkMake quality judgments about film producedMaintain equipment, including teardown and reassembly of the extruder screw and dieYou are part of the Strategic business entity Specialty Films – We are a global team developing specialty films solutions for a broad customer base with focus on the segments Automotive, Medical and Security. Our films do a lot more than you might think, given the properties of the plastics on which they are based and as one of the global leaders in the field of plastic films, our material development activities are geared to technologies of the future.Qualifications:High school diploma or GEDMust be willing to work a 12 hour shift; Positions are available on night shift (7pm-7am). Must be able to routinely lift and carry up to 50lbs of weight, climb stairs, lift and pull 10lbs of weight in the overhead position, work in ambient room temperature of 100 degrees, and work safely around numerous hot surfaces and rotating equipment.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in the extrusion of films.3+ years in a manufacturing environmentFork truck certification.Hoisting and rigging experience.Working knowledge of computers and SAP softwareEqual Employment Opportunity: Hiring and advancement are based on job-related requirements and on an individual's qualifications to perform a job.
