Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial assessments by performing preliminary interviews and documenting case histories from the first consultation through to discharge, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of each client’s situation.

• Evaluate clients’ mental, behavioral, and emotional health through detailed clinical interviews and standardized assessment tools.
\n
• Develop personalized intervention and recovery plans tailored to the unique circumstances of individuals, couples, families, and groups, focusing on achievable goals.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based techniques to promote healing and resilience.
\n
• Regularly monitor and document client progress, adapting treatment plans as necessary to reflect changes in the client’s needs or goals.
\n
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive care and share valuable insights on client treatment.

• Engage in follow-up communications with healthcare providers involved in the client’s care, particularly for clients that require hospitalization or additional resources.

• Identify and mitigate behaviors that may hinder recovery, offering education and support to clients and their families.

• Work alongside family members and primary caregivers to provide guidance on managing mental health challenges effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals facing various mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance misuse. Your approach will prioritize empathy and active listening, ensuring clients feel understood and valued. The outpatient nature of our facility allows for immediate access to care, ensuring clients receive timely intervention and support.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required. A Master's or Doctoral degree is preferred.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas is essential.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated experience delivering mental health counseling in clinical settings.

• Proficiency in electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, to manage client information and treatment documentation efficiently.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in managing and treating co-occurring physical and emotional health conditions, along with addiction disorders, is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and recent advances in psychotherapy.

• In-depth understanding of the implications of medications prescribed by medical professionals in mental health treatment.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience, along with a sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.
