Quick Facts Location: Fredericksburg, VA (Spotsylvania County Parkway, 22408) Start Date: Immediate/As agreed End Date/Duration: Permanent Position Shift: Week-on/week-off, flexible schedule; home call Hours/week: Approximately 40 hours/week Employment Type: Full-time, permanent License/Certs: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatology Experience: Prior NICU experience preferred Pay & Benefits Pay package discussed upon application Potential sign-on bonus and relocation assistance Additional income opportunities via moonlighting Benefits include: Medical, Dental, Vision insurance Life and Disability coverage Healthcare FSA & Dependent Care FSA HSA options 401(k) retirement plan Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP) Voluntary benefits via payroll deduction Some benefits fully employer-paid What You’ll Do Provide comprehensive neonatal care within a Level III NICU and newborn nursery Attend and manage high-risk deliveries alongside OB and perinatal teams Deliver patient-centered care to a census of approximately 9-11 neonates daily Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including neonatologists, nurse practitioners, nursing, and respiratory therapy staff Mentor and support NICU nursing and respiratory teams as patient acuity increases Develop and implement clinical protocols to improve patient outcomes Engage in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety efforts Participate in strategic growth and expansion of the NICU program What You Need Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatology Residency within the immediate local area (relocation may be required) Strong communication and team collaboration skills About the Assignment This is a permanent, full-time position at a high-quality NICU in Fredericksburg, VA, offering an excellent balance of work and life.
