Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students as a skilled Occupational Therapist within a small, collaborative school district in the Grand Prairie, TX area. This assignment runs until late spring 2027 and offers full-time hours working directly across the district. You’ll partner closely with 2-3 Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs), playing a key part in conducting assessments and providing supervision. This district-wide position calls for excellent evaluation skills and experience navigating ESPED (IEP System).

Key Qualifications:

• Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT), eligible for practice in Texas
• Previous experience in a school-based setting
• Comfort and familiarity working with IEP systems, particularly ESPED
• Confidence in evaluations and supervision of COTAs
• Strong organization skills, with the ability to keep and submit weekly timelogs for administrative approval
• Excellent teamwork and communication abilities

Core Responsibilities:

• Travel throughout the district to support students at various sites (district is small and easy to navigate)
• Complete comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations for students as required by IEPs
• Provide direct and consultative OT services, collaborating with COTAs and educational teams
• Supervise and support COTAs, ensuring quality and compliance with service provision
• Maintain accurate records, monitor progress, and regularly update the Director via detailed timelogs
• Engage actively in IEP meetings, providing professional recommendations and documentation
