• Schedule: Hours are 8am-5pm with call every night 5pm-8am including weekends (no 24-hour call shifts). Specific coverage dates needed:
  • November 13 (0800) - November 16 (0800)
  • December 4 (0800) - December 7 (0800)
  • December 24 (0800) - January 5 (0800)
  • March 22 (0800) - March 29 (0800)
  • May 12 (0800) - May 19 (0800)
  • May 26 (0800) - June 2 (0800)
  • June 8 (0800) - June 15 (0800)
  • Ongoing availability past July 2027 welcome
• Job Setting: Inpatient
• Types of Cases: Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology. Required procedures include: Upper GI endoscopy (with biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeder, injection of varices), ERCP (diagnostic and therapeutic), PEG placement, esophageal dilatation/manometry, esophageal manometry interpretation, small bowel biopsy, lower GI endoscopy, colonoscopy (with biopsy and excision of polyp). Preferred procedures include: sigmoidoscopy (flexible and rigid), endoscopic ultrasound (EUS). Rounding 13-14 assigned patients per shift. Provider must agree to request privileges for procedures on pediatric patients aged 13 years and older and over 65 kg.
• Call: Call type: Beeper; Call ratio: 1:3; Call response time: 15 minutes; Call covers both inpatient and outpatient
• EMR: Cerner
• Trauma Level: Level 2

Minimum Requirements

• Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Eligible minimum; Board Certified preferred
• Certifications: ACLS (required), BLS (required). Note: Life support certifications for sedation privileges must be through the American Heart Association.
• Licensure: Wisconsin state license required. IMLC not accepted.
• Fellowship: Required
