Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily activities including bathing and dressing
- Take vital signs and collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, and providers
- Answer resident calls and respond promptly
- Observe residents for skin integrity changes and provide appropriate care
- Turn, reposition, and transfer residents to bed, chair, or wheelchair
- Maintain cleanliness in resident care areas by changing sheets and restocking supplies
Qualifications
- Current California CNA license
- Current CPR certification
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a CNA
Knowledge & Skills
- Ability to work under pressure and relate to residents, families, and long-term care staff
- Demonstrated ability to communicate in English (reading, writing, speaking, and comprehending)
- Ability to understand, plan, and carry out resident care plans and ADLs
