Technical Program Manager (USA/Canada) USA • Remote Openings: 1 Full- Time
Truffle Consulting
Own the client. Run the team. Deliver AI that works in production.
Who We Are
Our engagements run inside our clients’ core revenue systems, with CEO and CFO level visibility on both sides. When we deliver, the client’s business moves. When we are late, unclear, or wrong about status, executives notice the same day. This seat exists because that environment demands an owner, not a coordinator.
Your portfolio has two shapes, and you run both from day one, hands-on. The flagship program is a multi-workstream AI and integration portfolio inside a client’s core revenue systems, with executive visibility up to the CEO. It staffs a dedicated project manager whom you direct and develop; the account, the executive relationship, the outcomes, and the economics stay yours. The rest of the book is smaller and mid-size engagements where you are the delivery leadership yourself, flexing between program manager, scrum lead, and client advisor as each one needs, several in parallel, at full quality, without being told which one needs you today. Nothing is beneath this seat: if the status is stale you fix it, if the deck is weak you rewrite it, if a blocker sat overnight you are the one who unsticks it.
Across the whole book you are the client partner of record. You own satisfaction, escalations, renewals, and expansion, and you grow accounts the only legitimate way a delivery leader can: by delivering so well that clients buy more. There is no sales quota in this seat; account executives close. You surface the openings, shape the next SOW while the current one delivers, and lead distributed teams across US and offshore time zones on engagements whose deliverables are AI agents running in production.
This role suits people who move fast on blockers and verify before they report, if that’s not your instinct yet, this may not be the right fit today.
The Operating Standard
This is the bar the role is held to from week one.
- You run the meeting. Clients never chase us and never lead our calls. Agenda, pre-work, and the decision needed are prepared before the meeting, not discovered during it. Only people with active responsibilities attend.
- Status is true. Every status you report is one a CFO can act on. Green means verified. Orange means you are asking for specific help. Red travels fastest of all. We treat an inaccurate status as a bigger failure than a slipped date.
- Nothing waits a day. Client questions get an answer, or an owner and a time, within hours. You design cross-time-zone handoffs so the client wakes up to progress, not silence.
- Done means verified. A ticket closes when the business outcome is confirmed working end to end and the result is communicated, not when the task is marked complete.
- Incidents are commanded. You distinguish a production incident from an enhancement in minutes, respond by priority with an ETA and a communication plan, run the post-mortem, and put monitoring in place so the client never finds an issue before we do.
- The cadence is visible. Sprint schedule, story points, and timelines the client’s own leadership can repeat without calling us. Nobody should have to ask when something lands.
- Momentum is yours. User stories exist before anyone asks. Boards are current. Blockers are named the day they appear, with what you need to clear them. If you wait to be assigned, this is not your role.
The Operator Profile
The standard describes the work. This describes you.
- You operate at Level 5. The five levels of initiative: wait to be told, ask what to do, recommend and wait, act and report immediately, act and report as routine. We’re looking for someone who operates at that level. You see the issue, you fix the issue, and you tell everyone what you fixed and how, so the whole team gets faster.
- You are hands-on, and nothing is beneath you. This is not a seat where you watch other people work. You write the plan, fix the board, rewrite the deck, chase the ticket, and take the early call, you have full ownership here, not a committee to run things through, and you set the bar while doing it.
- You think like an owner. You treat the engagement’s budget, margin, and client trust as your own money and your own name. “Not my job” is not in your vocabulary.
- You move in hours. Fast and sharp is the default: answer now, unblock now, decide with 80 percent of the information, and correct course in the open.
- You catch what others miss. You have the memory and the rigor of a system: every commitment lands, every detail is captured, every thread comes back closed.
- Escalations are part of the job, not an interruption to it. You handle hard executive conversations and incidents by staying level-headed: assess fast, act precisely, and leave the account stronger than you found it. You bring the plan, not the panic.
- You are agile under real conditions. Client priorities shift overnight: new executives, code-red reprioritizations, reorganizations mid-engagement. You re-plan in days without drama, keep the team steady, and renegotiate scope instead of quietly absorbing it.
- You work from first principles. When the playbook does not fit, you reason from the workflow, the data, and the incentives in the room, and you build the process the situation needs.
- You eat AI, not just use it. Modern is the minimum: you build agents that prep your meetings, draft your status, and watch your boards, and you run delivery whose output is agents in production. Your own operation is the proof of the leverage we sell.
- You have real consulting craft. You read the room, handle difficult stakeholders, deliver bad news with a plan attached, and protect scope without burning the relationship. Tense situations leave your calls as next steps, not open wounds.
What Success Looks Like in Year One
- Your clients act as references, and your engagements renew and expand.
- Zero surprise escalations: every risk the client hears about, they hear from you first, with a plan attached.
- Executives trust your status without auditing it.
- The delivery team is measurably sharper because you run it: better handoffs, faster cycles, cleaner releases, and a methodology that improved because you touched it.
- You have shaped and closed expansion scope alongside our architects.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of enterprise project or program management in consulting or professional services, running client-facing engagements.
- 3+ years managing Salesforce professional services delivery specifically.
- Pre-sales fluency: you have shaped and scoped complex implementations, written the SOW, built the staffing plan, and defended the estimate.
- Proven leadership of distributed onshore and offshore delivery teams, and a track record of running several projects at once without quality slipping.
- Consulting craft built in client-facing roles: discovery, workshop facilitation, executive storytelling, and the judgment to handle difficult client situations without air cover.
- Executive presence: you have presented to C-level and finance audiences and represented delivery on steering committees.
- Working command of agile delivery and formal incident management.
- AI-native ways of working: you build with AI agents rather than just chat with them, and you can run engagements whose deliverables are agents in production. Your own operation runs on them here.
- You have built or improved a delivery methodology before: templates, playbooks, and standards that outlived your tenure.
- Based in the US, working East Coast hours with morning overlap to European client executives. Travel up to 25%.
Nice to Have
- Agentforce, Data Cloud, or MuleSoft delivery exposure.
- PMP or SAFe certification.
- Experience at a boutique or high-growth firm where you had full ownership of outcomes, without a big-firm bureaucracy behind you.
Who You Should Be
You are a delivery leader who still likes being in the work .
You can run a complex enterprise program, lead executives through difficult decisions, and still open Jira when something does not look right.
- You take ownership without waiting for permission. You see gaps, make decisions, and close them.
- You are credible with executives. You can walk into a steering committee with bad news, explain what happened, and leave with a decision.
- You understand consulting economics. Scope, staffing, burn, margin, utilization, and expansion are part of delivery, not someone else’s job.
- You can run multiple engagements at once. You know what needs your attention before someone escalates it.
- You are comfortable being hands-on. You will lead teams, but you will also fix plans, rewrite status, improve decks, and unblock work yourself.
- You communicate early and accurately. You would rather surface a risk today than explain a surprise next week.
- You are comfortable with AI becoming part of how you work. You are willing to build new operating habits around agents, automation, and AI-assisted delivery.
- You want accountability. This role gives you meaningful authority over your accounts and expects you to own the resulting outcomes.
This role will be frustrating if you need several layers of approval, prefer managing from a distance, or expect someone else to prioritize your day.
Why Join Truffle
You will own meaningful work.
You are not joining as another layer of project management. You own client outcomes, delivery, executive relationships, and the health of your accounts.
You will work directly on AI programs moving into production.
Our work includes Agentforce, Data Cloud, Salesforce, MuleSoft, voice, integrations, and AI agents operating inside real business processes.
You will work with a senior team.
Truffle was founded by a Salesforce Certified Technical Architect. Technical and delivery decisions stay close to the people accountable for the result.
You will have room to build.
Our delivery methodology already exists. Your job is not simply to follow it. You will improve the standards, systems, templates, and operating practices the company uses as we grow.
You will see the impact of your decisions.
We are a smaller consulting firm. There are fewer layers between an idea, a decision, and the client outcome.
You can grow beyond managing projects.
You will work across delivery, executive advisory, account expansion, pre-sales, team development, and practice building. The scope is broader than a traditional project management role.
