Accounts Payable Specialist

Responsibilities Process high-volume vendor invoices, check requests, and employee expense reports in a timely and accurate manner. Review, code, and ensure proper approval of invoices, allocating expenses to appropriate grants, programs, and general ledger accounts. Perform 2-way and 3-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receipts as applicable. Execute weekly payment runs (ACH, wire, and checks) while adhering to internal controls and payment schedules. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. Maintain accurate and organized AP records, including documentation required for audits and compliance. Monitor AP aging and ensure timely payments. Assist with month‑end close activities, including reconciliations, accruals, and preparation of AP‑related schedules. Support grant accounting efforts by ensuring expenses are properly tracked and reported. Collaborate with program managers and finance team. Assist with audit preparation and documentation. Requirements Strong AP experience. Comfortable working in a manual environment. The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors such as relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
