Desktop Support Specialist

Pay up to $40/hr. Onsite daily in Torrance, CA 90502 The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting Windows and Mac environments , including onboarding/offboarding, troubleshooting, application and driver installations, AV equipment, and manufacturing-related technology. Experience supporting engineering, manufacturing, or construction environments is a plus. Military (Air Force/Navy), aerospace, or defense experience is highly preferred, particularly due to familiarity with security requirements and structured processes. We are seeking a contract Tier 1 Help Desk Resource to provide first-line technical support in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is highly customer service oriented, service-minded, and able to troubleshoot common endpoint, collaboration, and network issues with professionalism and urgency. Key Responsibilities Serve as the first point of contact for end-user technical support issues via phone, email, chat, or ticketing system Deliver excellent customer service with a helpful, service-oriented approach Troubleshoot and resolve issues with: Dell Windows laptops General endpoint connectivity issues using tools such as ping and tracert Support the Microsoft 365 stack, including: Microsoft Office SharePoint Microsoft Teams Provide basic AV support and troubleshoot NEAT Bars Document issues, resolutions, and updates clearly in the ticketing system Escalate complex or unresolved issues to higher-tier support as needed Follow established procedures, security protocols, and service desk workflows Required Skills and Qualifications Strong customer service and communication skills Service-oriented mindset with the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure Windows laptops, especially Dell Mac computers Basic network connectivity on endpoints Working knowledge of: Microsoft Office SharePoint Teams Familiarity with AV equipment, especially NEAT Bars Ability to run and interpret basic network troubleshooting commands such as: ping tracert Preferred Qualifications Prior IT support experience in an Air Force/Navy/Military environment Experience supporting a government, military, or secure enterprise setting Familiarity with IT ticketing systems and standard help desk operations The estimated pay range for this position is USD $35.00/hr - USD $40.00/hr.
