About the Role

The Company is in search of a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their team. The CFO will be responsible for leading the financial strategy of the organization, which is experiencing significant growth within the energy sector. This role involves direct partnership with the executive leadership, shaping financial processes, and overseeing a talented accounting and AR team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years' progressive financial leadership experience, with a strong background in financial reporting, planning, and expense management. Experience in the property and casualty insurance industry, particularly with statutory and GAAP reporting, is required, and a background in energy, oil and gas, or complex multi-state environments is preferred. Key responsibilities for the CFO include owning all financial planning, analysis, reporting, and forecasting, as well as developing and implementing financial controls, accounting standards, and compliance practices. The successful candidate will also be involved in direct monthly/quarterly reporting, annual statements, and financial audits, and will work closely with the leadership team to optimize performance, reduce costs, and support business growth. The role demands a strategic, hands-on approach, and the ability to lead process improvement and automation initiatives. A Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required, with a CPA and/or MBA strongly preferred. The CFO will be a key contributor to strategic planning and operational decision-making, and must have proven leadership capabilities with a track record of team development and engagement.
