We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to support a fast-paced advertising organization in Raleigh, North Carolina. This Long-term Contract opportunity will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial operations, strengthening reporting processes, and supporting complex billing activity. The position is expected to begin in the near term and will focus on hands-on accounting work, financial analysis, and process improvement through technology and automation.

Responsibilities:
• Manage daily accounting activity across payables, receivables, reconciliations, and core ledger support to ensure timely and accurate financial records.
• Prepare and review bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations while resolving discrepancies and maintaining supporting documentation.
• Support month-end close by recording journal entries, analyzing account activity, and helping maintain general ledger accuracy.
• Handle detailed client billing and perform related revenue and profitability calculations for complex invoicing arrangements.
• Build and maintain financial reports, dashboards, and data models using Power Query and Power BI to improve visibility into performance.
• Use advanced Excel capabilities, including pivot tables, lookup functions, and macros, to analyze data and streamline recurring accounting tasks.
• Work within QuickBooks to process transactions, maintain records, and support reporting needs across the accounting function.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency by applying AI-enabled tools and automation techniques to accounting workflows and reporting processes.• Proven experience in senior-level accounting roles with strong knowledge of month-end close, general ledger activity, and journal entries.
• Hands-on expertise with account reconciliations, including bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with the ability to work confidently with pivot tables, formulas, and macros.
• Experience using Power Query and Power BI for financial analysis, reporting, and dashboard creation.
• Working knowledge of QuickBooks in an accounting environment.
• Ability to manage complex invoicing structures and perform revenue or profitability calculations with accuracy.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to improve processes through automation and AI-based tools.
