About the Role Our client is looking for an organized and diligent Purchasing Clerk to support their procurement department in Paarl . This role is crucial for the smooth operation of the purchasing process, involving the accurate processing of orders, maintaining records, and liaising with suppliers. You will work closely with the purchasing team to ensure all administrative tasks are completed efficiently and accurately. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, possesses good communication skills, and is eager to contribute to the success of the department. Key Responsibilities Process purchase requisitions and generate purchase orders promptly and accurately. Maintain up-to-date records of suppliers, pricing, and delivery information. Assist in obtaining quotes from various suppliers for materials and services. Coordinate with internal departments and external suppliers to resolve order discrepancies or delivery issues. File and organize all procurement-related documentation for easy retrieval. Support the purchasing team with general administrative tasks as required. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent qualification. Previous experience in an administrative or clerical role, preferably in purchasing or inventory. Basic understanding of purchasing procedures and terminology. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel. Good organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
