Billing Manager

Primary Purpose of Position:

• The individual is responsible for handling all aspects of accurately billing our clients each month. This part-time position requires experience with QuickBooks, a high level of detail and process orientation, as well as strong interpersonal skills for phone and email communications.

Note: This is a part-time position, and the job is onsite at the Net Atlantic business office in downtown Salem, Mass.

Essential Functions:

• Manage monthly billing processes and functions for all clients
• Process and execute manual billing for certain types of accounts
• Process payments made by credit cards, check, and wire/EFT
• Communicate with customers via phone and email
• Maintain and update client accounts as invoices are paid
• Set up new clients and accounts onto the billing system
• Monitor A/R, identify overdue accounts
• Call and email overdue accounts to collect payments
• Perform month-end closing of the billing
• Use QuickBooks for financial reporting, etc.
• And other billing and finance related activities as needed

Additional Functions:

If the candidate has experience and capabilities to do so, the position may also include:

• Accounting and bookkeeping work such as bank reconciliations
• Monthly financial transaction processing
• Payroll, 401k, and HR functions

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business/Finance/Accounting or a combination of education and experience in an accounting and/or business organization
• Knowledge and experience in Billing, A/R, and related financial topics
• Experience using QuickBooks accounting software
• Highly detail oriented and process oriented
• Proficiency in Microsoft office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc,)
• Good verbal communications skills needed for occasional telephone calls
• Must be well organized and able to multi-task

Reporting Structure:

• This position reports to the CEO.
