Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: 10/05/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Opportunity – Emergency Department RN (Oncology Pod) – Ohio Start Date: October 5, 2026 Location: Columbus, Ohio Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio, floating required as needed Highlights: Work in a specialized Oncology Pod within the Emergency Department, one of the few dedicated oncology emergency care settings in the country Care for adolescent, adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment EPIC charting system utilized throughout the facility 15-room unit with 19 beds serving complex cancer patients requiring urgent care Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, radiology, and social services 14-week contract with possible 7 consecutive days off (facility discretion) Requirements: Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission) Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required At least 1 year of travel nursing experience required EPIC electronic medical record experience required Oncology experience preferred but not required Current certifications: BCLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS Proficient in IV starts and telemetry monitoring Nursing degree from ACEN or CCNE accredited program 2 professional references required (at least 1 from management/leadership) Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process immediately upon contract signing Why It's a Great Opportunity: This is a rare chance to work in one of the nation's few dedicated oncology emergency departments, where you'll provide specialized care to cancer patients facing urgent medical needs.
