Key Responsibilities\n

As an LMHC, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to accurately evaluate clients' trauma histories and formulate effective treatment plans.

• Designing and implementing individualized treatment plans that are centered on trauma recovery and resilience enhancement.
\n
• Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to deliver impactful sessions.

• Facilitating individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process their trauma, build coping mechanisms, and foster healing.

• Collaborating with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary professionals to provide integrated care and support for patients.

• Offering crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies to assist clients in immediate distress.

• Educating patients and their families on trauma responses, coping strategies, and available community resources.

• Maintaining meticulous and confidential documentation in alignment with legal and ethical standards.

• Participating in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development focused on trauma-informed care practices.

You will engage directly with a motivated patient demographic seeking relief and healing from trauma and stress-related disorders. Qualifications\n

The successful candidate will possess:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New York State.
