Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed and comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health concerns, establish clinical diagnoses, and formulate individualized treatment plans.

• Deliver various therapeutic modalities in individual, couples, family, and group settings, leveraging evidence-based approaches tailored to each client's unique circumstances.

• Provide timely crisis intervention and support for clients facing acute mental health emergencies, helping them stabilize and find immediate resources.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential client records including treatment plans, progress notes, and assessments that adhere to ethical guidelines and legal mandates.

• Work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team with psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers to ensure all aspects of a client's care are addressed holistically.

• Educate clients and their families regarding mental health issues, proposed treatment methodologies, available resources, and advocate for their rights and needs within the therapeutic process.

• Engage in ongoing professional development by participating in training sessions, workshops, and networking opportunities to stay current on best practices and emerging trends in mental health therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal mental health therapist at Great Lake will encounter a rich diversity of clients, including individuals from different backgrounds and age groups. Therapists will work with clients experiencing a range of challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Qualifications\n

• Current licensure as a mental health therapist (LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R) in New York State.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Great Lake Behavioral Health Center offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 85,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. We also provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance.
