Assistant Director, IT Audit - University of South Florida

Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and oversee comprehensive IT audit methodologies and risk assessment frameworks across the university and its affiliated entities. Evaluate governance, risk management, cybersecurity, and compliance controls, providing actionable recommendations to senior leadership. Manage multiple audit projects simultaneously, coordinating resources, timelines, and deliverables while ensuring high-quality documentation. Lead and mentor a team of auditors, fostering professional development and promoting best practices in internal audit and data analytics. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align audit activities with regulatory requirements and institutional policies. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, CIA, CISA, or equivalent certification preferred. Minimum 7 years of experience in IT audit, risk assessment, or cybersecurity, with a proven track record of leading audit engagements. Strong knowledge of governance, risk, and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, COBIT). Excellent project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and stakeholder communication.
