Health Unit Coordinator (HUC)

As a Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) for the CentraCare Monticello Emergency Department you serve a vital role in being the communication link for the unit. Responsibilities will include greeting and assisting patients/families guests and providers as well as managing telephone communications organizing and maintaining patient charts and performing clerical and receptionist duties to support patient care.

Schedule: Part-time | 60 hours every two weeks | Onsite

Night shift | 12-hour shift

7pm-7:30am

Every 3rd weekend and rotating holidays

Pay and Benefits:

Starting pay begins at 19.42 per hour and increases with experience

Pay range: 19.42-29.39 per hour

Qualifications:

One year completion of a hospital unit secretary program (or willingness to obtain within one (1) year of employment) preferred.

One-year clerical experience in a healthcare setting preferred.

Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Strong customer service skills.

Self-directed and ability to multi-task.

Strong interpersonal human relations skills and ability to communicate effectively in English.
