Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse (Oncology Pod) – Ohio

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Day/Night or Night shifts with floating required; 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio; 15-room specialized oncology emergency department pod with 19 beds

Highlights:

• Work in one of the few dedicated oncology emergency care settings in the country, providing specialized urgent care to cancer patients in a high-acuity emergency medicine environment
• EPIC charting system utilized throughout the facility
• Comprehensive orientation with 76 hours provided to ensure successful transition
• 14-week travel contract with opportunity for up to 7 consecutive days off (subject to facility approval)
• Interpretation services and interdisciplinary support available
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travelers

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required
• 1 year of travel nursing experience required
• Current, active acute care experience within the last 12 months in Emergency Department specialty
• Valid RN license (compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Oncology experience preferred but not required
• Current certifications: BCLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS
• Proficient in IV starts and telemetry monitoring
• Experience with blood product administration, central line care, ventilated patients, IV vasopressors, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, isolation precautions, 12-lead EKG, phlebotomy, STEMI and stroke protocols, and triage
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
• 2 professional references required: at least one from a manager/director or formal supervisor; charge RN acceptable as second reference
