Accountant

The Staff Accountant supports day-to-day accounting operations, including journal entries, account reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, and financial reporting. This role contributes to the accuracy and timeliness of financial information used to support operational and business decision-making within a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries as part of monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes. Reconcile general ledger accounts, including cash, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, and accruals. Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements and internal management reports. Analyze financial variances and trends, communicating key findings to leadership. Ensure timely and accurate processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions. Support inventory-related accounting activities, including periodic counts and reconciliations. Assist in maintaining fixed asset schedules and calculating depreciation. Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and complete financial data. Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures. Support audits, tax filings, and other regulatory or compliance-related reporting as needed. Complete additional assignments and special projects as required. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience or AR/AP; experience in high-volume or operationally complex environments is a plus. Solid understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles. Experience working with accounting systems and ERP platforms (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar). Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and lookup functions. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
