Group Leader

Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth! Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a Group Leader position at Miami Youth Academy in Miami, Florida. Miami Youth Academy : A moderate-risk residential commitment program for male youth aged 14 to 18. This program provides youth with comprehensive care, treatment, supervision, and evidence-based substance abuse services. Youth will also receive psychotherapeutic services, including individual, family, and group counseling while in the program. ROP-benefits-and-perks-2 What you will do: The Group Leader is operationally responsible, through the work performed by Senior Coach Counselors, Coach Counselors, and Night Coach Counselors, for the safety, care, and around-the-clock supervision of youth in the program during a scheduled shift. The Group Leader exercises his/her authority on a daily basis through direction and supervision of both students and staff during a shift, in order to meet expectations of the services provided. The Group Leader typically reports to the Shift Supervisor, but supervision may vary by individual location. To be considered, you should: A High School Diploma or GED is required; an Associate's Degree is preferred Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug, physical, and TB test Be able to pass a search of the child and adult abuse central registry After 41 years of improving the lives of youth, we are looking for passionate advocates to continue the legacy of helping young people become successful adults.
