Senior Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing accounting team in Buena Park. The ideal candidate is a hands-on General Ledger accountant with strong accounting fundamentals and proven experience managing month-end close activities in a product-based business environment. Experience in distribution or retail is highly preferred. This role requires a self-motivated professional who can work independently, analyze financial data, and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Key Responsibilities: Own and maintain the General Ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records. Lead the month-end close process, including preparing and posting journal entries. Manage fixed asset accounting, including additions, disposals, depreciation, and reconciliations. Prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies. Perform fluctuation and variance analysis to identify trends and explain financial results. Support financial reporting and ensure compliance with company accounting policies. Collaborate with cross-functional departments to improve accounting processes and controls. Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation as needed. Support intercompany accounting transactions and parent company reporting, when applicable. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 5+ years of progressive General Ledger accounting experience. Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting best practices. Proven ownership of the month-end close process. Experience in a product-based business, preferably within distribution or retail. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. Oracle ERP experience is a plus.
