Position Information Job Title Associate Dean for Global Engagement, Research, and Executive Education Department CBA Essential Functions The Associate Dean for Global Engagement, Research, and Executive Education serves as a senior strategic leader within the College of Business Administration, providing direct support to the Dean in advancing the College’s research profile, global partnerships, and executive learning portfolio. This role ensures the College’s long-term competitiveness and external impact by strengthening research productivity, fostering interdisciplinary and industry-aligned scholarship, and supporting faculty in grant development and research dissemination. In parallel, the position provides strategic oversight of global engagement initiatives, including international partnerships, collaborative programs, and cross-border academic opportunities that expand the College’s global footprint. The Associate Dean also leads the growth and quality assurance of executive education and professional programs, aligning them with market demand, corporate partnerships, and revenue sustainability goals. By integrating research advancement, global strategy, and executive programming, this role enhances the College’s reputation, external visibility, and financial resilience while positioning it as a dynamic, globally connected business school. Anticipated start date is August 2026.

Development of infrastructure to support research, global engagement, and executive education:

• Research Administration, Integrity, and Compliance: Oversee the administration of research grants and contracts, budget management, fund allocation/utilization, and reporting requirements. Ensure compliance with research-related regulations (e.g., intellectual property, export control, misconduct, conflict of interest, human subjects, etc.).
• Faculty and Program Development and Education: Provide guidance, training, and resources to faculty and staff on research development, proposal writing, grant management, global partnership building, and executive program design/delivery.
• Infrastructure Support: Ensure the availability of necessary infrastructure, including support services (e.g., library, computing, data resources), equipment, facilities, personnel, and technology platforms for research, international collaboration, and executive education delivery (in-person, hybrid, online).
• Policy Development: Develop and implement policies, procedures, and guidelines related to research, global engagement (e.g., international agreements, mobility programs), and executive/professional education, ensuring alignment and compliance with university, state, federal, and international regulations/standards.

Help to grow research, global presence, and executive education portfolio:

• Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategies, goals, and objectives for research, global engagement, and executive education that align with the College’s mission, AACSB/accreditation standards, and university priorities.
• Funding and Revenue Generation: Lead efforts to identify and pursue external funding opportunities for research (grants, contracts, gifts) and executive education (corporate sponsorships, partnerships, fee-based programs), while promoting revenue sustainability.
• Interdisciplinary and Cross-Border Collaboration: Foster interdisciplinary research collaborations within the College/university and promote international partnerships, joint programs, student/faculty exchanges, and industry-aligned initiatives across borders and sectors.
• Assessment and Quality Assurance: Develop and implement metrics to assess research productivity/impact, global engagement outcomes (e.g., partnerships, mobility), and executive education quality/enrollment/revenue; provide feedback to faculty, staff, and administrators.
• Partnerships and External Relations: Build and maintain strategic partnerships with industry, government, international universities/organizations, and corporations to advance research, knowledge transfer, global programs, and executive education opportunities.
• Communication and Visibility: Promote achievements in research, global initiatives, and executive education through publications, presentations, media outreach, marketing campaigns, and other channels to enhance the College’s reputation and external impact.

Work Schedule Additional Duties

• Support academic assessment practices, program reviews, and accreditation processes (e.g., AACSB) in collaboration with relevant university committees.
• Coordinate faculty personnel decisions, policy currency, and other administrative functions with College committees as assigned.
• Represent the College of Business Administration at campus-wide meetings (e.g., Associate/Assistant Deans forums, global/international councils, executive education networks).

Required Qualifications

PhD in Business Management

Preferred Qualifications

PhD in Technology Management, Innovation, Information System (AACSB accreditation is preferred)
