Human Resource Director Job Details Location: 1200 E PARTRIDGE RD - METAMORA, IL 61548 Position Type: Full Time Salary Range: $70,975.00 - $83,500.00 / year General Description The Human Resource Director conducts a variety of HR duties. This position is responsible for overseeing 1 HR Generalist position. The HR Director oversees all employee benefits, promotes positive labor relations and is responsible for knowing all HR related regulations which Snyder Village is required to observe. The Human Resource Director acts as a resource to management and staff for HR related matters. Personal Characteristics Ability to represent Snyder Village in a positive, professional manner with all applicants, employees, and management staff. Ability to deal tactfully with staff, residents, visitors, and the public. Ability to plan, organize, develop, and recommend implementation of all required HR regulatory compliance. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Enthusiastic, caring, trustworthy, creative, patient, and maintain confidentiality. Objective and maintain neutrality when assisting others. Ability to creatively seek out new methods and principles of performing HR duties. Job Responsibilities, Duties, and Authority Reviews Personnel Policies and employment related forms and procedures annually; utilizes management staff input and recommends changes and updates. Administers voluntary benefits, including but not limited to Health, Life, Dental, Vision and Disability Insurance; ensures compliance with Federal and State regulations. Explains benefit options and costs to all employees; assists with design of a cost‑effective employee benefit plan. Maintains knowledge of FMLA, HIPAA, Wage & Hour, Corporate Compliance and other HR related Federal and State regulations; assures development and recommendation of required policies and procedures. Maintains all required federal and state employment posters. Assists employees with HR related questions; provides information on internal and external resources and directs to appropriate chain of command. Consults with supervisors on employee issues. Reviews employee dismissals with the appropriate Division Director prior to action to ensure compliance. Coordinates employee recognition events such as the Employee Recognition Dinner and Christmas Party. Develops and conducts staff educational and personal growth initiatives such as a Wellness program, seminars and lunch‑and‑learns. Coordinates administration of employee satisfaction surveys and distributes results to supervisors. Acts as IT coordinator; assists network users and works with the IT Support vendor as needed. Responds to all e‑mails and phone calls daily. Sets and conducts annual goals for Human Resources. Assists the Accounting Department with tasks as requested. Performs other duties as assigned. Working Conditions Works in office areas and throughout the Snyder Village organization. Sits, stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during working hours. Subject to frequent interruptions. Involved with staff members, visitors, and others in a variety of conditions and circumstances. Subject to hostile and emotionally upset individuals. May work beyond normal hours, on weekends, and in other positions temporarily in staff emergencies to ensure proper care for all residents. Must be able to lift, pull, push, and move equipment, supplies, etc. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree preferred in HR/Business Management or 5 years related experience in management and HR related business. Benefits It is Snyder Village's policy to provide staff members with additional benefits. These benefits include paid time off, and affordable insurance, as well as many others. Insurance Programs Health, dental, vision, short‑term disability, and life insurance are available to all full‑time employees. Insurances begin on the first of the month following 30 days of employment. Health Two options: PPO and High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP). PPO offers a $1500 deductible with a max out‑of‑pocket of $4500. All preventive care services are covered at 100%. All generic prescriptions are a $10 copay. Most Carle providers are in‑network. HDHP offers a $3,800 deductible with a max out‑of‑pocket of $6,100. All preventive care services are covered at 100%. Most Carle providers are in‑network. Works with a Health Savings Account. Health Savings Account Snyder Village offers a health savings account through EPIC. Staff members who contribute are matched 50 cents for every dollar up to $1,300 per year. Dental Dental coverage is through the Guardian network, with a $50 deductible for in‑network services and 100% covered preventive care. Vision Vision coverage through Guardian’s VSP network. Exams $10 copay in‑network; covered once every 12 months for exams, lenses; frames once every 24 months. Basic Life and AD&D Any staff member who enrolls in medical coverage receives $10,000 in company‑paid life insurance and AD&D through Guardian. Voluntary Life Insurance Through Guardian staff members may select additional life insurance for themselves, their spouse, or children. Options include $25,000; $50,000; $75,000; $100,000. Spousal coverage up to 50% of employee coverage; child coverage up to $10,000 per child. Short‑Term Disability Provided through AFLAC. Replaces approximately 60% of gross pay in case of illness, injury or surgery preventing work per doctor’s orders. 401(k) All staff are automatically enrolled in the 401(k) program through Empower on day 91 of employment at 3% of salary. Snyder Village will contribute and match up to 5% of salary. Employees are fully vested after 3 years. Paid Holidays New Year’s Day Easter Sunday Memorial Day Fourth of July Labor Day Thanksgiving Christmas Day Non‑exempt staff working on holiday receive time and one‑half hourly straight pay. Paid Time Off (PTO) Offered to full‑time and part‑time workers with more than 20 hours per week. New hires accrue up to 2 weeks (80 hours) of PTO. Paid Personal Days All staff accrue paid personal days; up to 40 hours per personnel. Sick Pay Full‑time staff who have completed 1 year receive 80 hours of sick time for serious illness requiring >5 days off. Tuition Reimbursement Available for education expenses such as course fees, training, certification programs, up to six course hours per semester upon successful completion. Scholarships Up to 2 nursing scholarships per year for RN or LPN, and up to 4 CNA scholarships per year for certified nursing assistant. #J-18808-Ljbffr Snyder Village
