Manufacturing Operator I MagneticSeal is currently seeking a motivated Entry-Level Manufacturing Operator tojoin our team in Warren, RI. In this hands-on role, you will support the productionof precision components by performing routine setup, operation, and basictroubleshooting of manufacturing equipment (manual and semi-automated),conducting preventative maintenance, following detailed work instructions andquality standards, and contributing to a safe, efficient productionenvironment. Excellent company culture – as recognized byNewsweek’s Top 100 Most Loved Workplaces Clean and climatecontrolled working environment Opportunity for careergrowth Great benefits includingpaid vacation and sick time, 401K match, Employee Stock Purchase Program,annual bonus plan, and tuition reimbursement EssentialFunctions: Produces product on various CNC or manual machines to meet or exceed production standards Takes direction to learn basic machine operation, setup, and maintenance Runs multiple machines as required by process or as directed Makes machine tool offsets or adjustments as needed to maintain print specifications Load and unload machines as per the cycle time goals Studies part drawings, set up sheets, work order instructions, and other necessary process instructions to determine product specifications, tool requirements, and operational sequences Performs basic measurement tasks to verify product is within the required specifications Responsible for maintaining visual quality of the product by inspecting for defects such as dents, burrs, scratches, etc. Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of moderately complex, mechanically operated machinery Performs work in a safe manner by following all safety rules Stops work is an unsafe condition is identified Reports safety concerns immediately with management Takes initiative and makes decisions based on known policies and procedures with minimal supervision Activelyparticipates in continuous improvement initiatives. Identifiesany production problems and notifies cell lead or supervisor. Maintainproper documentation of data and collaborate with management staff andsupervisor Maintainscleanliness in designated work area throughout shift Cross-trainsin various operations and in various cells as needed Identifiesand lead fixture and tooling projects needed for new or existing product Performs other tasks as needed by management. Responsiblefor storing and handling all Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI)appropriately to prevent unauthorized access, dissemination, or use ofthis information or documentation. Supportall visitor and security policies to protect ITAR/EAR/CMMC/CUIinformation, documents, product, etc. from unauthorized access byinforming management immediately of any concerns. Responsiblefor the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated inemployee’s work area. Performsother duties as assigned. Prior schooling in Machine Technology, Manufacturing or Machining is preferred. PhysicalRequirements: Able to stand constantly. Able to walk frequently. Able to sit occasionally. Must be able to bend, twist, squat and kneel occasionally. Must be able to reach outward and reach above shoulder occasionally. Must be able to use fine manipulation continuously. Able to handle and grasp tools/equipment and products repetitively. Finger dexterity to rotate parts constantly. Able to read and write in English Must be able to push/pull and lift/carry up to 10 lbs. constantly. Must be able to push/pull and lift/carry from 11 to 20 lbs. occasionally. Must be able to lift/carry from 21 to 50 lbs. occasionally. Visual Acuity – Able to see close detail, distance and colors constantly. May come into contact with chemicals. Work Environmentand Safety Equipment Required: Manufacturing Shop atmosphere with open floor space, can be noisy at times, and is climate controlled. Able to work onsite per business needs and per employee’s standard hours. Able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment constantly. ITAR/EAR Compliance: This position requires access to export-controlled information and/or hardware,and candidates must be U.S. Persons that comply with all U.S. Export controllaws and regulation. As such, U.S. citizenship, U.S. lawful permanent residentstatus, protected person status under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or the ability tomeet ITAR and EAR requirements is required. BaseCompensation: USD $20.00to $22.00 paid hourly, based on experience.
