Physician - Infectious Disease Physician

Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans is searching for a strong infectious disease physician to join the Department of Infectious Diseases. Applicants must be board certified in Infectious Diseases. Applicants must have academic credentials to be qualified for a faculty appointment at the University of Queensland School of Medicine, Brisbane, Australia. Strong clinical skills and professional behavior. Board eligible or certified in Infectious Diseases. Academic credentials for faculty appointment. Department Overview The department includes twelve physician members, six advanced practice providers, inpatient and outpatient infectious diseases practices (including Travel, NTM, and Transplant specialty clinics), an ambulatory infusion suite with associated OPAT Program, an ACGME-accredited infectious diseases fellowship training program, and a clinical research program with full‑time study coordinators and research infrastructure. Ochsner Medical Center is a leading organ transplant center. The inpatient infectious diseases consultative services support solid organ transplant and hematopoietic stem‑cell transplant programs. All services, including antimicrobial stewardship, are supported by two full‑time clinical infectious disease pharmacists.
