Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to evaluate client needs and develop effective, individualized treatment plans. Utilize evidence-based modalities to provide tailored individual therapy sessions that promote personal growth and mental well-being. Set therapeutic goals in collaboration with clients and regularly monitor their progress, adjusting plans as necessary. Offer flexible teletherapy options to accommodate clients facing accessibility challenges or those preferring virtual sessions. Maintain meticulous documentation of therapy sessions and client interactions in accordance with ethical standards and organizational policies. Participate in continuous professional development activities to enhance skills and stay current with best practices in the mental health field. Patient Population / Client Focus Your work will center around a diverse client population, including individuals dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges. As a Mental Health Counselor at Greater Lakes Behavioral Health, you will provide support to clients from various backgrounds, creating a safe, non-judgmental space for them to explore their thoughts and feelings. Qualifications A current and valid state license as either an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT is required. A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is mandatory. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to engage empathetically with clients. Preferred Experience Experience in providing teletherapy services is highly desirable, particularly in assessing and adjusting therapy techniques for remote delivery. Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities and an ability to adapt to clients' needs effectively. A background or specialization in trauma-informed care or experience with specific populations (e.g., LGBTQ+, veterans) will be advantageous. Compensation and Benefits We offer a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with your caseload and experience.
