Licensed Mental Health Counselor - Remote Position with SharpLane Behavioral Health

Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough assessments of clients to evaluate their mental health status and identify specific needs. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that are rooted in evidence-based therapeutic techniques. Provide consistent follow-up sessions with clients to monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary. Offer clients tools and strategies for managing their mental health concerns effectively, incorporating mindfulness and coping techniques. Facilitate referrals to other healthcare providers and specialists, including psychiatrists, when applicable. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient interactions and treatment progress using electronic health record (EHR) systems. Engage in regular team meetings to discuss client care and collaborative strategies, ensuring comprehensive support across disciplines. Patient Population / Client Focus This position primarily serves adults and adolescents facing a range of challenges, including but not limited to substance abuse disorders, emotional disturbances, anxiety disorders, depressive episodes, and eating disorders. You will work with clients from diverse socio-economic backgrounds, emphasizing cultural competence in your therapeutic techniques to meet their unique needs effectively. Qualifications A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or related field from an accredited institution. A current and valid license as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in Washington State. A minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience in a mental health setting. Strong understanding of mental health disorders and the application of evidence-based treatment modalities. Experience in delivering both individual and group therapy sessions with an emphasis on inclusivity and responsiveness to cultural differences. Proficient in using electronic health record software, with strong organizational skills to manage patient documentation efficiently. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to establish trusting relationships with clients. A demonstrated capacity for effective crisis intervention and management of acute situations. Preferred Experience Experience in working within a community health setting is highly desirable. Comprehensive knowledge of the local mental health resources available in Seattle and surrounding areas. Prior involvement in multidisciplinary team environments, enhancing collaborative approaches to client care. Compensation and Benefits The annual salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
