You will engage directly with clients and other health care professionals, ensuring connectivity and fostering therapeutic relationships regardless of physical location. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental health status and needs, ensuring an individualized approach to care. Develop, implement, and monitor treatment plans in collaboration with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to optimize outcomes. Provide evidence-based individual, group, and family therapy, utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities tailored to the requirements of different client populations. Maintain accurate, timely documentation of all client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans in compliance with legal and ethical standards. Engage proactively with clients throughout their treatment journey, adapting strategies as needed to ensure progress toward their goals. Collaborate with community resources and additional service providers to facilitate comprehensive care for clients. Patient Population / Client Focus This position focuses specifically on serving youth aged 6 to 18 who present with a spectrum of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and autism spectrum disorders. The ideal candidate will be able to relate to this age group, fostering a safe and trusting therapeutic environment that supports personal development and family engagement. Qualifications A Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field from an accredited institution. An active mental health counselor license valid in New York State. A minimum of two years’ experience in mental health counseling, ideally with children and adolescents. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, fostering positive relationships with clients and their families. Knowledge and application of evidence-based practices in mental health treatment. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical and legal standards. Preferred Experience Experience working in a multidisciplinary team setting within an outpatient care environment. Familiarity with telehealth platforms and experience providing remote counseling services. Proficiency in handling diverse client backgrounds and presenting issues.
