Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of symptoms related to mood disorders.

• Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices tailored to client needs and preferences.

• Utilize therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to facilitate client progress.

• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, available treatment options, and effective self-care strategies.

• Regularly monitor and track client progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers for integrated care management of clients.

• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatments to continually enhance therapeutic approaches.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines.

• Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on clients experiencing mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. You will support a diverse clientele, which may include individuals from various backgrounds including the homeless, refugees, and victims of domestic abuse seeking mental health services.

Qualifications\n

• A current and unrestricted state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
