This full-time, remote position focuses on delivering in-community therapeutic services specifically tailored for children facing developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. Work Environment\n

This position allows you to work remotely while also giving you the opportunity to conduct therapy sessions at our outpatient office as needed. The nature of our work promotes flexibility; therefore, your schedule may vary to accommodate the specific needs of children and their families. Our ideal working hours are Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, with additional availability preferred during after-school hours from 4 PM to 7 PM. Weekend availability is also appreciated, allowing for a more adaptable approach to family and child needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions, focusing on in-home therapy for children and families.

• Develop and implement tailored therapeutic interventions for anger management, coping strategies, and social skills aimed at reducing high-risk behaviors.

• Facilitate decision-making processes for youth and caregivers, equipping them with skills to manage behavioral challenges effectively.
\n
• Engage in ongoing collaboration with the Child Family Treatment Team and other professionals, ensuring holistic support for each family.
\n
• Document therapeutic progress and submit required paperwork, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes punctually.
\n
• Participate actively in monthly team meetings, contributing to discussions and recommendations for service enhancements.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on providing therapy to children aged 3-20 who are experiencing a range of developmental and intellectual disabilities. This includes children with specific needs such as autism spectrum disorders, learning disabilities, and emotional challenges. Your role is pivotal in facilitating therapeutic relationships that foster trust, which is essential for achieving positive outcomes for these children and their families.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related field is required.

• Possession of an active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license.
\n
• A minimum of three years of experience in a clinical setting, particularly working with children and families.

• Ability to provide therapy in both Spanish and Portuguese is highly desirable.

• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle for travel to client homes or outpatient visits.

• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, to ensure the safety and welfare of clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience providing positive behavior support for children and individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.

• A background in facilitating therapy that encompasses trauma-informed care methodologies.

Compensation and Benefits\n
