Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual therapy sessions in clients' homes or group sessions in virtual and outpatient settings, tailoring approaches to meet each client's unique circumstances.

• Employ a range of therapeutic techniques, including anger management, coping strategies, and social skills training, to address high-risk behaviors such as self-injury and physical aggression.

• Assist caretakers in improving their decision-making skills for better management of in-home behavioral challenges.
\n
• Collaborate effectively with the Child Family Treatment Team and multidisciplinary professionals to coordinate comprehensive care for each youth and their family.
\n
• Document all patient interactions and complete required paperwork, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with clinic policies.
\n
• Participate actively in monthly case meetings to discuss treatment progress and incorporate feedback into therapeutic practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily focuses on serving children aged 3-20 who experience developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. You will engage with diverse families, providing them with the tools, strategies, and support necessary to navigate their unique situations. Your role is vital in fostering an inclusive environment that acknowledges and respects diverse backgrounds and needs, ensuring that all clients feel valued and heard.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field is mandatory.

• An active and unrestricted LMFT license is required to practice in Florida.

• Availability to work a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (4-7 pm), along with some flexibility for weekend sessions.

• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle are necessary for in-home therapy sessions.
\n
• Ability to undergo a criminal background check, including fingerprinting.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Minimum of three years of relevant clinical experience working directly with children and families.

• Experience in providing positive behavior support and intervention strategies for clients with intellectual/developmental disabilities.

• Familiarity with comprehensive assessment tools and family therapy methodologies.
\n

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 60,000 to 80,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
