This full-time position offers a remote work setting, allowing you to engage with clients through secure digital platforms. As a member of our Community Health Clinic, you will be part of a dynamic and collaborative environment that prioritizes accessibility and community integration in mental health services. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual in-home therapy sessions or facilitate group therapy in our outpatient center, using evidence-based practices to meet the unique needs of each client.

• Implement specialized techniques in anger management, coping strategies, and social skills training, while actively working to reduce high-risk behaviors such as self-injurious behavior (SIB) and physical aggression.
\n
• Guide youth and their caretakers in developing effective decision-making skills, providing them with tools to handle behavioral challenges they face at home.
\n
• Collaborate consistently with the Child Family Treatment Team and coordinate with other professionals to create comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each child’s requirements.
\n
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all therapeutic interventions, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
\n
• Participate in monthly team meetings, providing insights and recommendations to enhance service delivery and address the evolving needs of our clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on children aged 3 to 20 years, particularly those grappling with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). You will work directly with youth who exhibit a range of behavioral challenges, fostering a supportive atmosphere that promotes growth and resilience. Understanding the diverse backgrounds and needs of these clients will be essential in effectively delivering care that transforms lives.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field is required.

• An active and unrestricted LMFT license to practice in Connecticut is a must.
\n
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (4-7 pm), with weekend availability advantageous.

• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are necessary for travel to clients' homes when in-person services are required.
\n
• Success in passing a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is mandatory.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Demonstrated experience providing positive behavior support and interventions for children is preferred.

• Previous work experience addressing the needs of children aged 3-20, especially those with I/DD, will enhance your application.

• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese is highly desirable to better serve our diverse client base.

Compensation and Benefits\n
