In this remote role, you will be providing telehealth services, which allows flexibility and convenience in delivering therapy sessions from the comfort of your own home. Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting individual therapy sessions with children and families via telehealth platforms, focusing on in-home behavioral challenges.
\n
• Implementing group therapy sessions that address anger management, social skills development, and coping strategies to reduce high-risk behaviors.
\n
• Collaborating regularly with the Child Family Treatment Team and liaising with professionals from other disciplines to create a cohesive support network for clients.
\n
• Documenting all therapeutic interventions, including intakes, treatment plans, and progress notes, within set deadlines to maintain comprehensive medical records.
\n
• Participating in monthly team meetings to discuss case progress and contribute recommendations for improvement.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on children aged 3-20, particularly those who are facing intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). You will be tasked with delivering culturally sensitive therapy that accommodates bilingual clients, specifically Spanish and Portuguese speakers. Each session aims to empower both the youth and their caregivers by enhancing communication skills, decision-making capabilities, and overall behavioral management.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a closely related field.
\n
• An active and unrestricted LMFT license in the state of Illinois.
\n
• A commitment to working a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (4-7 PM), with additional availability on weekends being highly desirable.

• A valid driver's license and access to a registered vehicle for any necessary in-home consultations.
\n
• A successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, the following experiences will enhance your candidacy:

• Experience in providing positive behavior support to children and families.

• A background in therapeutic practices with children who have intellectual or developmental disabilities.

• Proficiency in bilingual therapy sessions, particularly in Spanish or Portuguese, to effectively communicate with and support diverse client populations.

Compensation and Benefits\n
