Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual therapy sessions in clients' homes or group therapy sessions at our outpatient clinic, adapting techniques to meet the specific needs of each child and family.

• Implement therapeutic interventions aimed at reducing high-risk behaviors, such as self-injurious behavior or aggression, by developing their anger management, coping skills, and social skills.
\n
• Enhance decision-making abilities in both children and caregivers to effectively address and ameliorate in-home behavioral challenges.
\n
• Collaborate closely with the Child Family Treatment Team, as well as other specialists and stakeholders, to create a comprehensive treatment plan tailored to each client's unique situation.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
\n
• Participate in regular team meetings to share insights, case updates, and recommendations that enhance our collective approach to mental health care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses primarily on children aged 3-20, particularly those facing developmental and intellectual disabilities. The therapist will work with a diverse group of clients from various backgrounds, each presenting unique challenges. Our goal is to facilitate growth and development, equipping families with the strategies they need to navigate complexities effectively.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field is required.

• Possession of an active and unrestricted LMFT license is mandatory to ensure quality care and compliance with state regulations.

• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours each week during after-school hours (4-7 PM); flexibility for weekend hours is preferred to accommodate clients' needs.

• Experience in providing positive behavior support strategies is essential for effectively assisting our clients.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster a supportive and trusting environment for clients and families.
\n
• A valid driver’s license and a registered vehicle are required for travel to client locations.
\n
• Ability to pass a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, to ensure a safe environment for vulnerable populations.

Compensation and Benefits\n
