Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions through in-home visits or virtually, focusing on tailored treatment plans.

• Engage children and their families in therapeutic exercises that emphasize anger management, problem-solving, and social skills.
\n
• Facilitate progress in decision-making abilities among both caregivers and children to effectively manage behavioral challenges at home.
\n
• Maintain comprehensive and timely documentation, including intake assessments, progress notes, and treatment plans, in adherence to organizational standards.
\n
• Participate in team meetings and collaborative sessions with the Child Family Treatment Team and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
\n
• Develop and implement targeted interventions to reduce high-risk behaviors such as self-injurious behavior (SIB) or aggression.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our primary focus is on children aged 3-20 who are experiencing developmental and intellectual disabilities. We offer our clients a compassionate space to explore their feelings and develop skills to navigate their challenges. Therapists will work closely with primary caregivers, providing them with guidance and support as they foster nurturing environments for their children. Your role will be pivotal in driving positive outcomes for both the child and their family.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field.

• A valid and unrestricted License as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of New York.
\n
• Availability to work at least 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (4-7 pm).

• Weekend availability is a plus, as it enhances service options for families.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in positive behavior support methods and strategies.
\n
• Previous work with children ages 3 to 20, particularly those with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD).

• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese is highly valued and will enhance service provision.

• The possession of a valid driver's license and reliable transportation for community engagements.
\n

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is competitive, between USD 90,000 and 105,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
