Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual and family therapy sessions remotely, using telehealth technologies to connect with clients.

• Provide therapeutic interventions aimed at enhancing social skills, anger management, and coping strategies, specifically tailored for youth facing behavioral challenges.

• Collaborate with the Child Family Treatment Team, including educators and other healthcare providers, to develop meaningful treatment plans and ensure continuity of care.

• Document therapeutic interventions accurately, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, and submit documentation within designated time frames for compliance and oversight.

• Participate in ongoing team meetings and training sessions to share insights, strategies, and recommendations to better support our clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Healing Mind and Soul Center, you will primarily work with children aged 3-20 who present with various developmental and intellectual disabilities. Your role will not only involve direct therapy but also guidance for caretakers, assisting them in navigating challenges related to their loved ones’ unique needs. Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a closely related field.

• Possession of an active and unrestricted LMFT license in the state of Texas.
\n
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (4 PM - 7 PM), with flexibility on weekends preferred.

• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required to facilitate occasional in-person meetings or assessments if needed.

• Ability to pass a comprehensive criminal background check, inclusive of fingerprinting.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience delivering positive behavior support and interventions specific to children with developmental challenges.

• Prior experience working directly with youth, specifically those with intellectual or developmental disabilities.

• Bilingual capabilities in Spanish or Portuguese are highly preferred, enhancing our ability to serve a diverse client base.

Compensation and Benefits\n
