Work Environment\n

This role will be primarily remote, allowing for a flexible work-life balance while also interacting with families and children during scheduled sessions. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with our organization, you will operate primarily in an outpatient setting either via in-home visits or through our outpatient office, ensuring that families receive the support they need wherever they are most comfortable.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual therapy and group sessions, either in-home or at our outpatient center, implementing evidence-based interventions tailored to the unique needs of each child.

• Provide specialized therapeutic interventions focused on anger management, coping strategies, social skills training, and reducing high-risk behaviors, including self-injurious behavior and physical aggression.
\n
• Support youth and caretakers in making informed decision-making skills to manage behavioral challenges effectively in their home environments.
\n
• Collaborate with a dedicated Child Family Treatment Team, which may involve coordination with various disciplines to ensure holistic support for the youth and family.
\n
• Complete and submit all essential documentation—including intake forms, treatment plans, and progress notes—within specified timelines to meet compliance and quality standards.
\n
• Participate actively in monthly team meetings, providing constructive insights and recommendations for enhancing service delivery.
\n

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on children aged 3 to 20 years who experience Developmental Disabilities and intellectual challenges. Our emphasis is on serving diverse populations, and we particularly welcome bilingual therapists who speak Spanish or Portuguese to strengthen communication and engagement with families from various cultural backgrounds.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, or a related mental health field is required.
\n
• An active and unrestricted LMFT license issued by the relevant authority.
\n
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week, primarily during after-school hours of 4-7 PM; weekend availability is a plus.
\n
• A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle for transportation to and from client locations.
\n
• A successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is mandatory.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in providing positive behavior support for children, with a special focus on those with intellectual/developmental disabilities.

• Prior experience in a similar therapeutic role, involving direct work with children and their families.
\n
• Familiarity with various therapeutic models and strategies designed for youth intervention.

Compensation and Benefits\n
