The Healthy Mind and Wellness Counseling Clinic is seeking a dedicated and flexible Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our passionate team. Work Environment\n

This role combines remote and in-office interactions, enabling therapists to offer flexibility in scheduling sessions around the unique needs of clients and their families. You will work closely with a dedicated Child Family Treatment Team, and your efforts will directly impact youth facing various challenges. Key Responsibilities\n

• Deliver individualized in-home therapy sessions or lead group therapy sessions designed to address a range of behavioral and emotional challenges.
\n
• Implement strategies for anger management, coping skills, and social skills training while working to reduce high-risk behaviors such as self-injurious behavior (SIB) and aggression.
\n
• Support youth and caregivers in enhancing decision-making abilities and managing challenging behaviors within the home environment.
\n
• Collaborate proactively with the Child Family Treatment Team and other professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to support and treatment.
\n
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all therapy sessions, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes as required.
\n
• Participate in monthly team meetings to discuss client progress and formulate recommendations for ongoing care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position focuses on a diverse population of children aged 3-20 who experience developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. As a therapist, you will provide crucial support through tailored interventions that align with each child's unique needs, working to create an environment where they feel safe, understood, and empowered. Your role is essential in fostering their emotional and behavioral development, making a lasting impact on their quality of life.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.

• An active and unrestricted LMFT license is essential for this position.

• Availability to work a minimum of 5-10 hours a week during after-school hours (4-7 PM); weekend availability is a plus.

• A valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle for potential in-home visits are required.
\n
• Must pass a criminal background check, including fingerprinting.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Demonstrated experience in providing positive behavior support to children with behavioral challenges.

• Prior experience working with children and adolescents with intellectual and developmental disabilities is highly desirable.

• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese is preferred to better serve our diverse client base.

Compensation and Benefits\n
