The position allows for a flexible work setting with a remote option, enabling therapists to conduct sessions from the comfort of their own home or preferred location. Key Responsibilities\n

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Conducting individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques tailored to each client's needs.
\n
• Providing in-home treatment sessions, helping families manage behaviors and enhance coping strategies effectively.
\n
• Implementing strategies aimed at reducing high-risk behaviors, including self-injurious behavior (SIB) and aggression, through skill development in anger management and social interactions.
\n
• Working collaboratively with the Child Family Treatment Team and other specialists to create and execute individualized treatment plans for each child.
\n
• Documenting all relevant treatment activities, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, adhering to specified timelines.
\n
• Attending regular team meetings to discuss client progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly to meet the evolving needs of clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will work closely with children aged 3 to 20, primarily focusing on those with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). This role is an opportunity to engage with a diverse group of young individuals facing unique challenges, providing critical support that can significantly improve their quality of life and overall family dynamics.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this position, candidates must fulfill the following requirements:

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related field.

• An active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license from the state of Tennessee.
\n
• A commitment to working a minimum of 5 to 10 hours per week during after-school hours (4 pm to 7 pm), with some weekend availability preferred.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work empathetically with children and families from diverse backgrounds.
\n
• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle for travel to client homes as necessary.
\n
• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting.

Preferred Experience\n
