The Therapist role at Bison Counseling Center provides a hybrid work environment, primarily conducted remotely, allowing for a flexible work-life balance. While the majority of your sessions will occur virtually, you will also have access to an outpatient office space in Reno for meetings and training sessions with your colleagues. Key Responsibilities\n

• Establish and nurture a positive therapeutic alliance with clients through active listening and compassionate engagement.

• Conduct thorough assessments to diagnose mental health disorders, taking into account psychological, emotional, and social contexts.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that reflect each client’s specific challenges, goals, and preferences.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices and interventions tailored to client needs.

• Perform ongoing evaluations of client progress and adapt treatment strategies as necessary, ensuring accountability and responsiveness.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of sessions, treatment plans, and client communications within our digital health records system.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will engage with a diverse range of clients, including individuals grappling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and various mental health disorders. You will also work with families seeking guidance in navigating familial dynamics, conflict resolution, and communication barriers. Your contributions will directly impact client success and wellbeing, guiding them towards healthier lifestyles and improved relationships.

Qualifications\n

• An active state licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.

Compensation and Benefits\n
