Work Environment\n

This is a full-time remote position, allowing you the flexibility to work from anywhere within Texas. You will be engaging with clients primarily through in-home therapy sessions or group therapy conducted virtually. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions tailored to each child's unique needs, focusing on behavioral challenges and emotional wellness.

• Implement therapy techniques, including anger management strategies, coping mechanisms, and skill-building activities aimed at reducing high-risk behaviors.

• Collaborate with the Child Family Treatment Team to coordinate care and share insights regarding treatment progress and goals.

• Provide comprehensive documentation within specified time frames, including intake forms, treatment plans, and progress notes to ensure continuity of care.

• Attend monthly team meetings to contribute recommendations and stay updated on best practices and new initiatives.
\n
• Support parents and caregivers in improving their decision-making capabilities for managing child behavioral challenges at home.

• Engage in ongoing professional development and training to enhance therapeutic skills and approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work primarily with children and adolescents between the ages of 3 to 20, many of whom are diagnosed with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Your role is crucial in providing tailored interventions that promote well-being, resilience, and life skills for both the youth and their families. The ability to communicate effectively in both Spanish or Portuguese will enhance your interaction with a diverse client base, ensuring every family receives the support they need in their preferred language.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field.

• An active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license.

• Flexibility to work a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (4-7 PM); weekend availability is a plus.

• A valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation for potential in-home visits.
\n
• A clear criminal background check, including fingerprinting.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with children and adolescents, particularly those with developmental and intellectual disabilities.

Compensation and Benefits\n
