Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

From August through May, your expertise will help facilitate growth and achievement for learners at a critical stage in their education journey.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Colorado Special Education Certificate required
• Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably at the high school level
• Solid understanding of IEP development, implementation, and administrative responsibilities
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, working effectively with families, teachers, and support staff
• Ability to differentiate instruction and adapt materials for diverse learning needs
• Passion for fostering an inclusive, positive, and productive classroom environment

Responsibilities:

• Manage a diverse high school caseload, overseeing IEPs from assessment through reporting
• Provide direct instruction and targeted interventions in alignment with student goals
• Consult and coordinate with general education teachers, counselors, and families to ensure comprehensive support
• Maintain timely, compliant documentation in accordance with district and state guidelines
• Foster a safe, respectful, and responsive learning environment for all students
• Participate in team meetings, professional development, and ongoing training opportunities
