Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

You’ll serve high school students, ensuring they receive the individualized education plans, support, and guidance needed to thrive in their academic journey. Your expertise will provide crucial case management, instructional strategies, and progress monitoring.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active Colorado Special Education Teacher Certificate (required)
• Previous experience working as a Special Education Teacher at the secondary (high school) level
• Strong understanding of IEP development and compliance
• Exceptional communication and organization skills for case management and collaboration with teams
• Ability to foster a positive, inclusive classroom climate and build meaningful student relationships
• Competence in developing and adapting curriculum to meet diverse learning needs

Core Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of high school students receiving special education services
• Develop, implement, and review IEPs in accordance with state and federal guidelines
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, administrators, and families to coordinate and monitor student progress
• Adapt instructional materials and methods to support various learning styles and disabilities
• Maintain accurate and timely records of students’ educational progress and related documentation
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and annual reviews
• Encourage student self-advocacy and independence

This contract opportunity spans from early August 2026 through late May 2027, offering full-time hours and the chance to contribute to a positive, student-centered learning environment.
