Business Development Manager

The Business Development Manager will be instrumental in helping new Home Improvement Contractors join the GoodLeap family. This role will proactively identify and qualify prospective GoodLeap partners, collaborate with the Business Development team to ensure overall partner success, and help Home Improvement Contractors access superior loan programs. Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities Proactively identify, qualify, and sign prospective GoodLeap partners; work accounts under 2 million a year and coordinate handoff to outside sales team for anything over 2 million a year. Source new partnership opportunities through inbound lead follow‑up and outbound cold calls and emails. Develop a comprehensive knowledge of GoodLeap products and attributes, understand customer needs and requirements, and help the two connect. Work in collaboration with Business Development Directors to ensure partner success and provide best‑in‑class business intelligence‑driven guidance to assigned partners to aid their growth and development. Innovate on sales processes, pitches, and approaches; provide feedback and enhancements and collaborate with other GoodLeap teammates to continually improve new initiatives within a growing company. Clearly explain and position technical issues such as financial products and legal agreements. Interact with Executive team members to develop new and enhance existing programs. Required Skills, Knowledge & Abilities Minimum 5 years’ experience selling to Home Improvement contractors and/or distributors. Working for a Home Improvement contractor selling to homeowners utilizing finance to close deals. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience engaging with all levels of an organization, from cross‑functional teams to executive leadership. Skilled at clearly articulating ideas through client proposals, persuasive presentations, and strategic outreach materials that drive engagement and support business growth. Able to prioritize in a fast‑paced environment. Strong attention to detail. Customer‑focused. Able to work with minimal supervision.
