Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary assessments to evaluate clients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral health, documenting all findings methodically from initial consultation through treatment completion.

• Develop and implement tailored intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups, aligning your strategies with the latest evidence-based practices in mental health.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, deftly addressing the varied dynamics and therapeutic needs of participants.
\n
• Regularly monitor client progress against their treatment plans, utilizing metrics and feedback to adjust interventions as necessary to optimize outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and medical personnel, to ensure cohesive care plans are in place for shared clients.
\n
• Perform follow-ups with clients transitioning to or from hospital care, coordinating with hospital staff to ensure seamless continuity of care.
\n
• Identify client behaviors that may hinder recovery and implement strategies to mitigate these issues, fostering a supportive environment for growth and healing.

• Provide psychoeducation to family members and caregivers, equipping them with tools to assist their loved ones in navigating mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse client population, including children, adults, and families facing a variety of mental health issues, from anxiety and depression to more complex diagnosis involving traumatic experiences or relationship struggles. Our focus is on fostering a safe space for healing through empathetic, culturally competent care.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid license as a LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Georgia.
\n
• Successful completion of relevant examinations including the NCE and/or the NCMHCE.
\n
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in an understandable manner.

• Exceptional interpersonal abilities, demonstrating empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental attitude towards clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience in a mental health counseling role, with a preference for those familiar with electronic health record systems, especially AVATAR.
\n
• Background in working with clients with co-occurring physical and mental health challenges, as well as substance use disorders.
\n
• Awareness of best practices from the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) and a solid understanding of psychotropic medications.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
