Accounts Receivable Specialist

Contract - $25-35/hr - ~3 months with potential for full time hire We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to support invoicing, payment processing, collections, and customer account management within a fast-paced organization. Reporting to the Controller, this role is critical in maintaining accurate financial records, managing customer aging, and supporting month-end reporting activities. Key Responsibilities Process and distribute customer invoices through ERP systems, portals, email, and mail Apply and reconcile customer payments including ACH, wire, check, and credit card transactions Manage collections activities, aging reports, and follow-up on past due balances Perform account reconciliations and resolve billing discrepancies Support new customer setup, credit reviews, and credit limit recommendations Maintain accurate customer records within accounting and tax platforms Assist with month-end processes, accruals, reporting, and special finance projects Communicate account status updates with internal teams including leadership and sales Qualifications Associate degree in Accounting or equivalent experience preferred 3+ years of Accounts Receivable and/or collections experience Strong understanding of accounting principles and AR processes Experience with ERP/accounting systems; NetSuite experience is a plus Advanced Microsoft Office and Excel skills Strong analytical, organizational, and communication abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a collaborative environment This is a hybrid role combining remote work with time in a collaborative office environment connected to operations teams.
